Think tank 20/1/16

On Wednesday Year 2 went on a fantastic trip to the Think tank. We learnt lots of interesting facts about science, and because it is an interactive museum we were able to press lots of buttons and play lots of fun games whilst learning at the same time.

Round Midnight Workshop - Children in WW1

On Tuesday 10th November the children in year 2 took part in a drama activity where they took the role of children during WW1.
The children learnt that the whole family had to sleep in the same bed, the children were expected to queue up at the butchers to get their rations for the week and the children didn't do fun lessons like we do today.
All of the children re-inacted a typical day of a child in WW1 which although it was fun for the children they really understood how terrible life must have been during that time.
